Celebrating Neurodiversity Week 25 – 28 March

Our aim for the week is to create a sense of calm for students and staff through a week of reflective activities.

Beginning in the foyer, our display outlines what it means to be neuro-diverse, along with sensory toys, jigsaw puzzles and mindfulness colouring for students and staff to engage with. Our daily five minute brain break activity in period 5 lessons this week is designed to allow quiet time for reflection and brain rest at a key time of the day. Our ‘Do Nothing’ club is available for some quiet time daily at lunchtime.

Monday – students and staff can join the lunchtime mediation session
Tuesday – students and staff can take part in some lunchtime mindful colouring
9.00 – 10.30am Thursday – parents are invited to a parent coffee morning, providing an opportunity to share their experiences and challenges with others
