Sport
The Tiffin Girls’ School PE department offers an extensive extra-curricular programme that encourages open participation and sporting excellence.
With five netball courts, two gyms, an all-weather astro pitch and a modern, full-size Sports Hall, our wide-ranging facilities cater for a large number of sports in which we compete at local to national level, and against a range of schools, including independent schools in London and Surrey. We offer recreational and competitive clubs in a variety of different sports during lunchtime and after-school sessions, and are supported by local community coaches who bring a wealth of specialist experience to our teams. We have over 75 different sports teams competing in hundreds of fixtures each year. We also run trials for enrolment in the LTA Wimbledon Ball Girl programme, and trips to national and international sports venues, such as the Oval.
Our students are regular Borough Champions across a range of sports, with recent national success including Tier 3 National Champions in hockey. Our ethos of Community, Character and Love of Learning is fostered through leadership opportunities at KS3-KS5 with the Sports Ambassador programme, leadership events with local primary schools, and leading or running student sports clubs.
