Tiffin Girls’ Music Society
The Tiffin Girls’ Music Society (TGMS) is a parent-led, registered charity (#1090557) which is dedicated to helping the Music department achieve its goal of providing a top-class musical education to all our students.
TGMS supports music at the school by raising additional funds for musical instruments, repairs and tuning, sheet music, coaching for choirs and ensembles, and subsidising instrument classes. We also sponsor half of the Sixth Form Music scholarship scheme, organise volunteers for events like concerts and ABRSM exams, and assist in the research undertaken when applying for music grants from independent charities. We raise funds through our membership subscriptions, direct donations and refreshment sales at concerts.

Join us
You can become a TGMS Family Member for £45 a year. Membership offers a variety of advantages, including significant discounts on school concert tickets and priority access for TGMS initiatives. You also have the satisfaction of knowing you have made a meaningful contribution to the Music department’s fundraising. We welcome membership from anyone connected to the school community – parents, carers, grandparents and friends. There is no requirement for your child to be musically talented, nor do you need an extensive understanding of music. What unites us is a genuine appreciation of the importance of a robust music education for young people.

Donate
You can make a donation by paying directly into the TGMS account, or by using convenient platforms such as easydonate and Easyfundraising. If you are a UK tax payer, please select the option to Gift Aid your donation, which will allow us to access additional government funding at no extra cost to you. If your employer offers a matched funding scheme, it will allow them to match your donation, effectively doubling your contribution. Volunteer
TGMS is always seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support a variety of tasks during events, including concerts and ABRSM exams. Several committee roles also require dedicated individuals to help with the ongoing work of the society. Your involvement as a volunteer is invaluable, making a significant contribution to the success of our activities and the smooth running of TGMS. Termly TGMS Newsletter
Each term, we compile and publish a newsletter featuring updates about all music-related activities taking place within the school. The newsletter also highlights events and achievements involving TTGS musicians outside of school, ensuring the wider community stays informed about our students’ musical engagement and accomplishments.
