The Tiffin Girls’ School
Open Evening for Year 7 entry September 2026
Tuesday 8 July 2025
4.30 – 7.30pm
The opening evening will take place in school and we look forward to welcoming Year 5 pupils and parents during the evening. There are no guided or accompanied tours, visitors are encouraged to make their own way around the school to visit subject areas. Students will be available in the classrooms to talk about their subject and showcase their work. Please note no photos of students or students’ work are permitted. Demonstrations, performances and activities will be taking place around the school. The Headteacher will be speaking at set times throughout the evening (4.45pm, 5.15pm, 5.45pm, 6.15pm, 6.45pm). We do not take bookings for a Headteacher’s talk but entry will be by ticket on the evening (tickets will be available at the event only and handed out to visitors on arrival for the next available time slot). We hope that visitors will take the opportunity visit our new, state of the art sports centre, which is for both student and community use. A small selection of drinks and snacks will be on sale in the dining hall, for which we can only accept contactless payments (minimum spend £1.00). Cash payments will not be possible. It is expected to be a well-attended event so where possible, please avoid bringing siblings and pushchairs. Due to capacity restrictions, we ask that if your child is not currently in Year 5 you do not attend. This Open Evening is aimed at children in Year 5 who will be entering Year 7 in September 2026. Bicycles/folding bikes, scooters, skateboards or similar will not be allowed inside the school building. The building is accessible to wheelchair users. We recommend allowing 1.5 hours for your visit to include visiting subject areas and attending a Headteacher’s talk. There is no suggested order in which you should plan your visit, you can choose which areas to visit and which talk to attend, in either order. |
