School Birthday Appeal 2026

Give the Gift of Warmth for Tiffin Girls’ 146th Birthday – New Boiler Suite and Heating Distribution Fundraising Appeal

We are delighted to announce the school has finally secured a significant capital grant from the Department for Education (DfE) to replace our boiler suite and heating distribution system. However, the grant covers only 75% of the £1.84m total cost. The remaining £467,000 (25%) must be found by the school. While the school remains in sound financial health, this contribution represents a significant drain on our reserves. With work having to start immediately to ensure we are ready for turning the heating on this November, we are seeking donations to help us secure this basic necessity and provide students with a comfortable learning environment. Every pound spent on infrastructure is a pound diverted away from the classroom – your support ensures that our budget remains focused on our students’ learning and growth, rather than just providing heating.

Fundraising appeal

We are launching a special fundraising appeal to help with the school’s contribution, starting with a major milestone: our School Birthday giving appeal on Friday 13 February. Our goal is to raise at least £50,000 through our appeal.

  • Impact: If every family were able to make a one off donation of £40, the school would be able to achieve its minimum target of £50,000 from parental contributions instantly.
  • How to Donate: If you are a parent, please donate via your ParentMail account: ‘Boiler Suite & Heating Distribution Fundraising Appeal’. If you are a member of our school community or wider network, please donate via our Fundraising page: https://community.tiffingirls.org/supportus
  • Gift Aid: If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box, as this adds 25p to every £1 you give at no extra cost to you

While £40 is a suggested starting point, any donation of any size is truly welcome. We hope very much that our alumnae network will join us in supporting this effort, and would be grateful to hear from anyone within the wider school community who is able to support us further.

We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and generosity.

Please help us to achieve our minimum target of £50,000 towards this vital project.

Together, our community can quite literally help keep the heart of the school warm for generations to come.
