Festive events and giving

There are plenty of opportunities for charitable giving and coming together as a community in the lead up to the holidays.

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day

The school will be celebrating Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 12 December, and we are grateful for the kind donations from families towards this fundraising event. Funds raised by Save the Children support children in the UK and around the world. Last year’s event raised £2.8 million nationally, helping to bring essentials like healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children who are missing out on the most basic support. Visit to Dalemead Care Home

Each year a group of our students visit the Dalemead Care Home in Richmond. We take some of the Christmas cards that students have made, and students perform carols for the residents. We also like to take some gifts to provide presents for people who would not otherwise receive them, and we would like to thank our parents and students for their kind support of this initiative. The cards that do not go to Dalemead go to a local charity who distributes them to care homes across Kingston.

House events

There are various fundraising and festive house events for students to enjoy in the last two weeks of term – including charity cake sales, Christmas karaoke, Christmas film night for Years 7 and 8, and the house hat competition.
