School Birthday Giving Week 10-14 February

Raising funds for our ‘Bright Futures Project’

We are looking forward to celebrating the 145th anniversary of the founding of The Tiffin Girls’ School on Valentine’s Day, Friday 14 February, with our traditional School Birthday Celebration.

To mark the special occasion we have launched a School Birthday Giving Week from 10-14 February to raise funds for our ‘Bright Futures Project’ – an initiative to install 366 energy-efficient light fittings in the Holdsworth wing, illuminating 21 classrooms and 13 offices for a brighter, greener future.

Why this matters
Upgrading the outdated light fittings will:

  • Reduce our carbon footprint and lower energy costs
  • Improve the learning environment for all our students with brighter, more natural illumination that supports focus, accessibility and wellbeing
  • Support sustainability, aligning with our commitment to a greener future

The total cost of the project is £30000 and is supported by the Support Company and the PSA who have already generously donated £3250, allowing us to upgrade three classrooms over February half term.

How you can help
We would be very grateful to receive any birthday donation to help us to reach our target. We are suggesting donations of £4.50, £14.50, £45 or £145 to align with the school’s birthday but any amount is appreciated. Please make a donation by clicking here.

Please do also visit the School Birthday page on the community website where you can read all about the birthday activities and challenges the staff and students are involved in focused on the themes of love, sustainability and the number 145.

Your support is appreciated!
